North Shore Raiders Powered by Goalline Sports Administration Software

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The North Shore Raiders is a AAA program designed to give the highly skilled player the opportunity to play at an advanced level of competition. The Raiders are adopting a new organization development model to facilitate our goal of developing players at a faster rate than their peers.  The new model will enable the Raiders to incorporate a more complete development structure for the player. Our plan calls for:

Ø  Implementing a pro style philosophy where all teams in the organization will be overseen and actively coached by Scott Thomas. Scott will work with the Head Coaches as well as directly teach the players at all levels the systems he learned as a Division 1 College and NHL player.  It is our expectation that the players will learn the same systems from the Mite to Junior levels thus better preparing them for high school and beyond.

Ø  Skills are run by independent hockey professionals, focusing on specific skill sets including: power skating, stick-handling/shooting and bodywork.

Ø  Individual Goalie skills run by Mike Geragosian

Ø  Unique Training Summer Camp – The Raiders run a full day one week training camp in August that is included in the tuition

o   3-4 Hours on Ice individual and team training

o   2-3 Dryland Training, plyometrics speed/agility drills and fitness testing

Ø  Video analysis of games, teams will be videotaped throughout the season and they will meet to breakdown the games to further teach positional and individual play.

Ø  Coaching Staff comprised of past Pro and College Players

The Raiders program is well connected within the hockey circles and assists young prospects to choose the best route in hockey, including NCAA, Junior (Tier I and II) and Prep School programs. We are looking for the highly motivated players that are serious about their hockey career.

THE ANTICIPATED OUTLINE FOR THE SEASON IS AS FOLLOWS:

The 2004's-96's Teams

Ø  Full season teams with no town commitment needed, it is our expectation that the players play only with the Raiders, however players may choose to play for their town teams but the Raiders is the first commitment.  Players  may not participate in any town games or practices before a Raiders Game

The Midget 91-94 Team

Ø  Pre-season high school team.  This team will help prepare the kids and get them in shape for the upcoming season. The team is open to all Freshman-Senior age players.

The Junior Development Teams (JDT)

Ø  Pre season high school team of primarily current Varsity Players and Candidates who want to elevate their game and have the opportunity to move on to the college ranks. The JDT program will also assist players with college recruitment process. The JDT program for Freshman-Seniors who are serious about continuing their hockey career
